Travel options to Coron?

From Manila (MNL), Cebu (CEB), and Clark (CRK) it is approximately 1 Hr 15M to Coron Busuanga (USU) via air travel. Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific Air have frequent and regular trips that will fit your travel itinerary. You will need to take a shuttle van from Busuanga Airport to Coron Town.

By sea you can take the 2GO Ferry from Manila , take Montenegro Lines Ferry if you are coming from El Nido and if you are coming from Puerto Princesa you can take the 2GO Ferry.

What is included in the Apo Reef Liveaboard Package?

Electric Fan only Accommodations on board, no decompression diving, tanks, weights, weight belt, boat, services of a divemaster, full board meals, and complimentary tea, coffee, juice. We have rates both for divers with own gear and rental.

How many guests could you accommodate?

MBca Del Agos can accommodate 12 guest on bunk beds and double-rooms. This budget pleasant trip offers an experience of a lifetime discovering the wonders of the Philippines and its amazing underwater beauty.

How many dives they could do in one day?

Guests can do 3-4 Dives a Day – usually with 1 night dive (optional).

Food?

Food are plentiful, awesome and curtesy of our resident cook Warren – the trip’s last night usually is a banana leaf group dinner with your favorite seafood’s and grills. Ask for his local moonshine and sea juice but regulate yourself – remember we are not your parents and we want you safe and enjoying each dive. Yes, we can cater for vegetarian and vegan – just let us know in advance please as this is really not our cup of tea.

When should I arrive in Coron for boarding?

For our 5D/4N and 4D/3N trips – Guests should arrived in the morning, boarding time is from 0900 to 1000.  We highly suggest though to come a day before the trip.  Note: please expect delays on sailing as recently new inspection process has been implemented by Phil Coast Guard prior to clearance.  

 

What are the fees not included in the package?

The taxes that are not included in the package are the Apo Reef/Coron Wrecks Conservation Fees which is US $100.00/person, courses, beer/alcohol/soda drinks, transport to/from airport/hotels and souvenir items on board.

Visa or Passport?

A valid passport is required. Visas are not required for tourists who will stay only for 21 days provided that they have an onward or return journey tickets and do not belong to restricted nationality. For long staying guests visas are required, you can apply to your nearest Philippine consulate.

Covid-19 Protocols such as Vaccine Card and/or RT-PCR Test and other Local Government Unit requirements may be required as well.  Please check with us time to time.

 

How will I go onboard the MBca Del Agos Boat?

For our 5D4N and 4D3N Apo Reef trip – Please head to Coron Port (Philippines Port Authority) where the boat is park – we will assemble at the gate of Coron Port, an AGOSCUBA crew will be there waiting from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.  Of course prior to that we would have coordinated with you through viber, whatsapp and messenger or thru your booking agency

 

 

What is the weather in Philippines?

The Philippines is a tropical country with an average temperature of 32°C (80°F). March to June is hot and dry (36°C); rains and typhoons abound from July to October; November to February is pleasantly cool ( around 23°C) and dry.

What fittings do your cylinders have?

We have both the international yoke and the DIN fittings.  

Should I be an advanced dive?

Diving in Apo Reef is open to all Open Water Divers. An Advanced Open Water Diver Certification is a plus, since Apo Reef is a wall dive.  There are night dives and deep dives that your open water certification may not allow you to participate.

Diving into Coron Wrecks requires Advance Open Water Diver Certification as they are mostly deep.  You can of course explore the wrecks from surface if your certification does not allow you to participate.

Taking an AOW course during the trip is also possible.  We just need your confirmation early so we can acquire the instructor for you.  You can negotiate the rate with the instructor and pay directly.  It is usually PHP 20,000 without the discount.

 

When is check-out time on the vessel?

The check-out time in the vessel is 1300H-1400H (ish) on the last day.

What wetsuit should I use in diving?

You could use a 3mm wetsuit all year round.  We are not luxurious and some of our wetsuits may not suit your preference.  Please bring yours if you can

We are not luxurious, we are far from yacht Liveaboard, we are Safari expedition, but we do have the basics:
· Clean and comfortable beds for 12 guests
· Decent kitchen and great food
· Spacious Dive Decks
· 19ft Chase Boat, Kayak and SUP
· GPS and Fish Finder
· 220 volts for your chargers (Solar Powered)
· Coltri Compressor/Tanks
· SCUBA Gears for Rentals
· 2 Engines (8 to 12 knots)
· 10KVA Genset
· Electric Fan Rooms only (We used to have AC few hours at night – but it was challenging to keep)
· 4000 liters fresh water storage
· Toilet and Showers
